Welcome for 2003,Joel Lim - President |
||||||||||||||||||||
Well here we are, the 2003 Physoc
executives would like to welcome all physics majors to our website and
into body of students that we represent. We have already been busy this year, from the two barbeques held so far which have raised us money for the other activities that we have planned, the pub crawl (with its karaoke surprise) as well as planning the other events that will be getting marked down in every UNSW Physicist's calendar. Since we were approached about the renovations of the school of physics we have been keeping actively involved in the process from as early as the planning stage, helping ensure that the student needs are catered for during this important change. We will be holding the highly important Physoc camp for all physics majors, post graduates and staff which will be in the second week of second session, leaving UNI that Friday and getting back on the Sunday. The astronomy telescope tour or road trip is being planned for second sessions mid-session break as well, which will give students an up close and personal experience with the largest practical laboratory that physicists get to work with, the universe and possibly the largest apparatus that are used to study it! For more details of these events take a look at the up and coming events section of this very website. To get an idea of what is happening generally in the physics student world you can always lurk around the forum or be welcomed in the discussions. |
